In this activity, students explore what freedom of speech means in the United States, including the right to speak one’s ideas, feelings, beliefs, and opinions, and the legal protections and limits of free speech. Students work together to create a free speech informational brochure and then exercise their freedom of speech by articulating an opinion about the U.S. government.
