In this activity, students explore the role of labor unions. They examine the purpose and methods of labor unions. Then, through case studies, they learn about the successes and challenges of labor unions over time and contrast right to work vs. right to organize ideologies. Finally, students will apply what they have learned to present arguments for and against the merits of labor unions.
