Children, teens, and adults are familiar with card tricks as entertainment for parties or stage shows. For educators, however, card tricks offer a novel way to teach skills in logic, reasoning, and problem-solving. In this activity, students will witness 4 card tricks and then attempt to explain and recreate them. They may discover that a card trick, like other illusions, is successful only when all of its details are mastered.
