In this activity, students determine and construct sentences from a series of words. First, students pair off. Then, the partners write out a sentence, writing one word each on sticky notes and putting the words in random order. Another pair of students must put the sticky notes in the correct order to reconstruct the sentence. Finally, students reconvene as a whole group for discussion.
