Inspired by the ghost-story challenge that helped spark Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, youth create and write an original suspenseful story using character, setting, and plot. They build tension through uncertainty, a difficult choice, and an unexpected consequence rather than relying on graphic violence. This low-prep writing activity requires only paper and a writing utensil.
