Overview

Students investigate the judicial branch of the U.S. government. They begin by considering why the courts intervened in the presidential election of 2000. They then split into teams to explore specific aspects of the judicial branch by watching informational videos and considering how to uphold the provisions of Article III of the U.S. Constitution. Teams use what they learn to prepare a poster presentation providing an overview of key details and how what they learned explains why the courts intervened in the election.
