Now that students have made it through the regular season and the trade deadline, it’s time for the playoffs! All professional sports leagues hold end-of-the-year playoffs, culminating in a championship game (or series). This activity demonstrates an actual playoff bracket from a prior professional baseball season and provides instructions on constructing a playoff bracket for your classroom.

This activity contains a bonus lesson on Resilience. Students will need to explain what resilience means to them, how they have seen resilience in teams, and reflect on how someone they know has demonstrated it in the past.
