In this activity, students learn about key events and ideas of the Cold War. They begin by watching a primary source video from the Federal Civil Defense Administration and discuss the origins of the term “duck and cover.” Students then break into small teams to read articles on key events and aspects of the Cold War. After doing research, students take on the role of television news broadcasters to report on the events.
