Overview

Posters, flyers, and brochures all present information in visually appealing formats. Each may be part of a communications strategy or advertising campaign for community and tourism organizations, businesses and trades, zoos and museums, as well as any group that wants to promote itself or its cause to the public. The design elements of these products are key to attracting viewers and helping promote understanding of the information and the intended message. In this activity, students analyze and evaluate examples of informational products. Then, they generate plans and then design an informational product of their own.
