This collection of English
Setter puppy photos, has been broken up into month-long groups. Click
on a month, then click on an image to see an enlargement. These photos do
not show every part of her life, however we are trying to get the feeling
and fun of being an English Setter puppy in Florida. Mizzen's name comes from the sailing term for the shorter second mast on a two-masted sailboat. The shorter aft mast is called the mizzen mast, and the sail hung on it, is called the mizzen. So Mizzen is the "short one in the back". Mizzen's parents have sailed most all of their lives, so she will be getting her sea-legs in a hurry. For now she is learning the ropes on a large steel trawler, with an occasional side-trip in a rowing dory. Eventually she will graduate to real sailboats. She has a natural attraction to the water and is a great swimmer. These English Setter puppy photos tell her story; a happy little English Setter puppy learning the world from the back of the boat and the wonderful parks of St. Petersburg, Florida. Although she spends most of her time on dry land romping with other dogs in the parks of St. Petersburg, she will be traveling the waterways of Florida and the Eastern United States on a steel trawler "Sails", and has much to learn. Her adventure begins in Cincinnati.
